Award for the City (poem)

I thought the city would embrace me
Ignoring whether it was day, night
Hunger, thirsty
Weakness, sleepless
But my life was absorbed in the city construction!

Whoever may be the labour in establishing Taj Mahal
It become foundation for love
Hard work reflects and overtakes in moonlight’s cool breeze
The great poet exists through his poetry
With delight I become on to road to see the construction of city
No luring rhythm in my ‘walk’ on the Centre
The city made my legs broken and made me a handicapped!

The city has become a flower
A lock has been put on my nose
The city has become a Lord Indra’s Bungalow
A sin has made my existence ash!

I thought the city would embrace me
I thought the city was mine
I thought the city was my family
I thought the city was my soul mate
I was city, the city was I
In the construction of city, I become a dot

The city rejected me
The city that has rejected me gets selected for an award!
The city swallowed my labour juice
Did not leave out even the cane for burning as the nature of human opportunism!
